Warranty Service Requests
Warranty service requests should always be initiated by filling out the following form:
Before beginning a warranty service request, please confirm that your inverter coolant reservoir is not low. While inspecting the inverter coolant level please check for turbulence inside of the reservoir while the car is on. This will eliminate most misdiagnosed problems.
All suspected warranty claims must first be diagnosed by a reputable repair shop, Toyota dealership, or with an approved diagnostic scan tool.
Specific Diagnostic trouble codes must be provided by the repair shop, dealership, or approved diagnostic scan tool and should be documented and submitted immediately for review.
If you cannot and will not provide the trouble codes there is a $300 deposit that can be refunded once we check the trouble codes and analyze the battery. If you receive a refund for your deposit it will be within 30 days.
Simply take a picture of each of the trouble codes on the screen of the diagnostic scan tool and submit the pictures as soon as possible to expedite a warranty replacement.
In certain circumstances we may request a data log or more specific data from the scan tool. This request is to assure that we are not missing a secondary problem that is causing premature battery failure.
Upon review of the diagnosis, and determination of a battery failure within the warranty period, Hybrid Restoration LLC will replace the failed battery in accordance with the warranty FREE OF CHARGE in most cases. Hybrid Restoration LLC will not reimburse for shipping, diagnostic expenses, or towing associated with any warranty claims under any circumstances.
Diagnostic trouble codes must be present at the the time of battery replacement. Please do not clear the codes. If diagnostic trouble codes are not present at the time of a warranty service request, and the warranty service request is deemed unnecessary, or the warranty service cannot be proven to be necessary, there will be a $300 service fee for travel and diagnosis. If the service fee is not paid then the warranty will become null and void.
No warranty replacements will be processed without a diagnosis, and diagnostic trouble codes present at the time of replacement. No exceptions.
Warranty is transferable to anyone other than the original purchasing customer 1 time only.
Anyone other than the original owner will be charged a $300 service fee for warranty replacement. Service fee must be prepaid before any service is done.
Warranty is NOT transferable to any other vehicle. This means the warranty only applies to the purchased battery in the original vehicle. This warranty becomes null and void if you install the battery in a different vehicle other than the original vehicle registered with Hybrid Restoration LLC unless authorized.
If there is a change in vehicle ownership, the new owner must have the original invoice, a copy of the previous owners registration, and a copy of the current registration, with the same VIN on both copies of registration.
If the battery is found to be defective in material or workmanship by Hybrid Restoration LLC during the active warranty period, Hybrid Restoration LLC will issue a FREE REPLACEMENT in accordance with the guidelines of the warranty.
Warranty does not cover any commercial use of the product unless authorized. If this product has been purchased for commercial vehicles use, please refer to the applicable warranty coverage.
Batteries that are shipped or picked up in our warehouse require a prepaid refundable core deposit as well as prepaid shipping before a replacement battery can be issued under warranty. This core deposit will be refunded within 30 days after the battery is inspected and analyzed.
